What do I need to know to buy a bike?
To buy a bike, the main thing you need to know is how you intend to use it. From that, you can identify the type of bike you want and your budget. You can get into specification and technical details later as you explore the bicycles that suit your needs. At Cycle Africa Bikes, our team guides you so you can get the right bike that matches your needs and budget.
How much will a new bike cost?

Bicycle prices in Kenya vary depending on the bike type and size. You can expect to pay Ksh. 15000 to Ksh. 40,000 for an entry level comfort bike. Prices for mountain bikes and road bicycles can range up to Ksh. 500,000 for high-end models.

A decent kids bike can cost between Ksh. 5000 to Ksh. 20,000. Prices for cruise bikes are in the neighborhood of Ksh. 15000 to Ksh. 30000.

Mountain bikes and road bikes are a bit pricey with some selling for over Ksh. 200,000. Remember these bikes are well made and will last for years.

What are the best bike brands?

There are no best brand bicycles. Most manufacturers use the same components on their bicycles. You should judge a bike by the quality rather than by the brand. At Cycle Africa Bikes, we stock bikes from various brands such as Primdale, SpeedKing, Trinx, GT and more.

What do I get when I spend more on a bike?
The more you spend on a bike, the higher the bicycle quality. Some bikes may come with front suspensions, but features don’t change too much. However, as the price goes up, you’ll find the bikes have a lighter, more comfortable feel. They will require little maintenance and will last longer.
What accessories do I need with my new bike?

You should consider buying the most essential accessories such as a helmet to protect your head in case you fall, a bike lock to safeguard your bikes from thieves, a pump to keep your tires inflated, and a water bottle to keep you hydrated. You may also want to add some clothing like cycling jerseys and shorts and maintenance items like chain lube.
